First, Ben Bernake is named Time's 2009 Person of the Year, and then Obama receives a Nobel Peace Prize.
Two nominations and awards that baffle me into thinking the world has lowered their expectations and the bar for success. People are being rewarded for losing billions of dollars and prematurely before achieving goals set out by administrations.
When I was in college, one of my professors awarded everyone a 100 average at the start of the semester, and then it was our job to maintain it with hard work. If you didn't do well on tests or missed many classes, your average would drop significantly in accordance to your performance.
So my question is: If Obama does not make all his promises as President and if Ben Bernake loses even more money, can we take away these prestigious titles?
